About Us

Our Instructor, Larry Pendarvis, is a CAL FIRE Chief Officer with over 30 years of California fire service experience. This experience ranges from engine and truck company operations in large city departments to rural/metro fire districts with target hazards ranging from heavy industrial to wildland/WUI. Chief Pendarvis has commanded many large-scale incidents as well as numerous strike team assignments statewide for wildland fires and floods.

Chief Pendarvis is a registered California State Fire Instructor, Certified Chief Officer, Hazardous Materials Specialist, Swiftwater/Flood Rescue and Auto Extrication. He also served on Incident Management teams as a Safety Officer and filled the role of Division/Group Supervisor numerous incidents.

 

Chief Pendarvis holds an Associate’s Degree in Fire Science.
